5 easy steps to vote absentee!

Check to make sure you’re registered to vote.

Idaho has same-day voter registration.

You must be registered in order to vote. The pre-registration deadline is Oct 11, but you can register to vote on Election Day or at Early In-Person voting.

Request your absentee ballot.

Fill out a ballot request form online or on paper by 5:00 pm on October 20.

Check your mailbox.

Absentee ballots are already arriving in mailboxes. It will come with your ballot, a secrecy sleeve, and a return envelope.

Fill out your ballot.

Fill out your ballot, place it in the included privacy sleeve, then seal within and remember to sign the outer envelope.

Return your ballot to Ada County Elections by 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov 5.

Seal your ballot in the envelope included with your ballot and you can either a) mail it back to Ada County Elections or b) take it to one of the secure drop box locations below.

What’s on your ballot?

Along with big races like President, residents in D19 will be voting on smaller local races further down the ballot - like state legislature and other local races.

These small races have a large impact on your daily life - so I encourage everyone to vote backwards. Start on the last page and work your way to the top!

ACHD Commissioners are another example. D19 is in both ACHD District 1 and 3. Take a look at the interactive map to see which district you’re in.
